Last week, I participated a tea party at Passion Road with industrial colleagues and guests, organized by weddingsmalaysia. It was a great experience for myself as this is the first time ever I participated and setup a booth for showcase. Guests approached and checked us out, we chat and discussed. It was all fun.

For couple alike who wants to organize a private and intimate event or function, i.e. small cozy wedding, you should definitely check out Passion Road :)

Also, CM also awarded 2 International Prints of the Year and other awards which I couldn’t confirm. Man, you have got to see CM’s real print in order to understand how incredible it is. Just have to warn you, if you do really check out his actual print, beware of your saliva dropping on the prints, cause I am pretty sure you start drooling ;p

So what else from WPPI? MANY MANY friends and local photographers have scored excellent in prints competition, Grace Tan won herself a Shootsac. Woot, that’s very happening there! How I wish I could make it there in MGM Las Vegas. One day, one day….

I really want to express my heartiest congratulations to everyone who has participated, won something, have fun during this year WPPI. So great to have industry friends that have achieve great, and so proud of us *wink*

Little announcement to made here today as Andy Chin Studio mark a small but significant milestone. Me myself is now a member of WPPI and [AG]WPJA. If you aren’t aware about both of these two professional body, kindly check out their website respectively, by click the image above.

I am glad that I have finally made the move, and happy as well, as WPPI and [AG]WPJA body accepted my application as a professional membership. I look forward for more opportunities to join contests, in an international stage, and to grab hold of chances to learn more from many other great photographers around the world.

If you have notice, I have actually did a few things on this blog. Of course the most catchy part is the header. It took me sometimes to hack this and hack that for it to be what it is now. Because the overlay on top of the fading slide images, isn’t what I have ever done so. I am quite happy because it is not impossible to achieve the result. I keep my logo, sort of, and the twitter on top, while the flash at the back, without interference. yipee!

Apart of that, I am change my logo! I handwritten it. If you don’t like my handwriting, too bad. ;p I am gonna use it, at least for the rest of this year. So from now on, it will be my official tag and logo, to be integrated into all photo’s watermark, business card, brochures or whatever it is.

Finally, I have tidy up the navigation bar! I wanted to do so very much, but I haven’t found the suitable code until recently. The original code is actually common, but I just ain’t know why, it passed thru my eyes! Now, it is tidier font, smoother fade in menu, has a pointer to show whether it has a submenu, and I hope to add more links to industry pal’s websites in days to come.

I found out that there are things that are not behave properly in this blog if you are using Internet Explorer. I am ‘trying hard’ to find out why. But you are advise to use Firefox, the SAFER (capitalized intended) and the standard of the web browser!

There are still things that I would love to refine, but that’s a later stage. One thing at a time. Now, what is a post without a photo. Here’s one of the gift that I have got in February. I am loving this new bag!

Now 2009 is coming! Have you write down your resolutions for 2009? Have you accomplished resolutions for 2008? Or have you lost the piece of paper 3 days after you have written that? (Most people do, so… LOL) I haven’t really think about the resolutions for 2009 yet, but few things I want to accomplish in coming year, like… this, this, and this and this.. hehe… Well, I prefer to keep it in myself as yet.

At this moment, I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY PROSPEROUS NEW 2009 YEAR!

So, what are we doing here at the coffee house? They are actually rushing for the slideshow for showcase tonight. So I am here to, be with them, drink, online, read blogs etc. This afternoon is a hot afternoon. The heat just forcing over me. *sweat*

Many times a wedding didn’t end up very well, due to certain circumstances. First, and the most important thing is, the plan. Every bride(or groom) ought to have a (note) book for the plan. Plan that I mean, is not just the run down of the event of the day. It should includes every single details, like how many family members, sequence of group photos, who should take care of the flowers etc. I must say that everyone has little common sense have known about this but most of time people just get too proud and take things for granted. These things are utmost important for brides(grooms) to be, if you want the day to run smoothly and eliminate that little frustration and unhappiness. :)

To my experiences, a wedding planner is very important to have. I understand that many brides like to plan and organize the wedding by their own hands. They crafted the wedding preciously for an unforgettable event in the entire life. But pretty brides out there, let someone help you. If one think hiring a professional wedding planner is expensive, a close friend is just nice to give you a hand on handling little things. On the day itself, you are just ONE to be at ONE place at ONE time. A helper would be just great for a point of contact (PoC) for all the people, vendors, and etc.

I personally like to work if there’s a PoC around, because guests are around that the couple will need to attend to, and I do not have to bother them all day. During group photo session, a pre-arranged sequence for each group of people is perfect, so that we can get it done real quickly and happily. Now that’s the time PoC will have to get everyone ready, work with emcee to announce of things and so on. It is just so good to have someone to there to get things organized, don’t you think so?

Recently Panasonic has announced the Micro Four Third system (2), that it change a conventional structure of a interchangeable lens camera. It is not a smaller Single Lens Reflex (SLR) because it has a mirror-less design. It significantly cut down a lot of weight and size of a camera.

The first Micro 4/3 System camera, is Lumix G1. Is a very cute, compact, interchangeable lens camera. It is definitely a carry on your waist all time kinda camera! (if only you are very used to a SLR weight!) Not only that, it is a full system camera. Full size 4/3 lenses are useable, with an adapter. Now all cute little size female photographers out there say “Oh Yeah!” Check out the Dpreview live report from Photokina 2008.
