Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I react in order to go along with your style in actual shooting?

  • Be you, be casual and have fun! We do things together, so we chat, we laugh, we do crazy stuff, we exercise, we take photos of each other. It should fun an joyful experience!

2. How many of you and your team?

  • I am no longer shooting alone! These days I have team with me. A team of us will go out and shoot together. Andy Chin, the principal as he is, will always shoot all assignments personally.

3. How much do you charge?

4. I want to see the photos soonest possible, can I?

  • Of course you can have a preview of the photos as soon as I can capture it from the camera. For processed photos, it should takes about 2-3 weeks after the event. Just because my workflow doesn’t stop right at the point I finish clicking away. 

5. How do you deliver the photos to us? Can I have all shots in your camera?

  • *smile* Well, very firmly I have to let you know, no. Because I don’t want to let you see my bad shot. *grin* Usually in an event like full day wedding, I would capture as much as I could, and that’s vary on each occasion. I will choose/cull and return to you the selected. Each occasion is different, I have no quota for every one of them. If we have a lot of fun, we probably produce a lot of pretty beautiful images. :)
  • Please be notified that returned photos will be slightly adjusted and processed, no proper touch up will be done.
  • All printing photos, or photos to be included into album shall be touch-up.
  • All products will be delivered by courier service for all outstation location or by hand.

6. Can I have same day slide show for my dinner reception? I want to show up my ceremony for my guests who can’t make it in the morning.

  • It is included, no worry. In fact there’s no option for excluding it. There are exceptional case at times, i.e. holy matrimony in the afternoon while the dinner reception is just mere 2 hours away. In that case, I will not be able to produce a same day slideshow because of time constraint. For your information, these process could take up at least 3 hours, so please allow ample timing for it to be processed. However, there is no discount for do not want a same day slideshow.

7. I am from outstation (e.g. outside of Klang Valley, Malaysia), can you come over to shoot my wedding?

  • I am glad to be there! Do contact me so we can talk about it. I don’t need a 5 stars hotel to sleep in, or fly business class. Please be informed that outstation surcharge, travel and accommodation fees are applicable.

8. Do I have to pay you up front?

  • Certain amount (50% of quoted fee) of retainer has to be placed in order to secure your booking. This is a very basic way to protect me and you too. As first come first serve basis, one who paid and secured a booking, let no other will be clash on the same date. It is advisable to secure your booking as soon as you have decided, some dates are just too popular and will be booked very early.

9. What is the best way to contact you?

  • Email, really. Sometimes I will just miss out incoming call due to working, noisy environment or other factors. By emails, we can have things documented and is easier for reference for both party too. Of course you can call me up anytime. I am reachable via these two method at most of the time, if not all time. My contact details can be found here.

10. What camera do you use?

  • Canon dSLR. Lenses cover range from ultra wide to about super-tele. Pretty much all covered. Several gigs of cards, speedlite and some gears and accessories to make the camera weight more and looks huge. It does look impressive,really. ;D

11. Who owns the copyright of the photos?

  • Andy Chin Studio owns the copyright of the photos, solely. All photos delivered to clients are for personal keep sake only. In the event if clients want to publish the photos for non commercials purposes only, credit line ‘by Andy Chin Studio’ has to be stated within visual proximity.
