Wedding // Siva + Abhy
Tuesday, 30th of June 2009
wedding

When Abhy first contacted me, I was wondering what ethnicity she is. Certainly the name doesn’t sounds like Chinese name to me at all! Lo and behold, I guess it right, She is an Indian. Now that puzzled me, Indian, really? Am I gonna shoot an Indian wedding? So after we exchanging emails and text messages couple of time, we have confirmed to work out together and I was all happy about it. I heard about Indian wedding is one colorful events! It must be fun!

Indeed the wedding is an eye-opener to me. Thou Siva and Abhy had a ‘minimalist’ version of the ceremony but there were still very formal and proper. I totally salute the details that Indian pay attention to, so many of them! Those are wonderful!

I had Benjamin Lim to help me this time round. He is one humble man, eager to learn. Glad to work with you bro! Great having you as companion on the road, KL-Bentong-KL. :D

I want to thank Siva and Abhy for giving me a chance to be part of your wedding day and entrusted me to photograph the memorable event. I wish you both happy and sweet marriage!

I like the fabric :)

The head piece is HEAVY. Spelled Bold and Capitalized!

My dream car, a white 5 series. *ahem*

Can you imagine this is actually a school hall?

Siva is at the altar, for the first part of the ceremony. And I thought he’s truly minimalist, as compare to real Indian wedding. Until then, later.

As mentioned above, Siva changed later for the second part of the ceremony. Now that’s handsome. I mean even more handsome. :D

There was a videographer, has a video light so huge, heavy and hot (that makes 3H), it lights up the whole stage and it has a powerpoint carry on his shoulder to power the light. So not portable. But thank goodness many times the light added little drama in the photo, like this:

Of course there will be music! But I don’t know what is this instruments here. Drum and flute, kinda.

This so unpredictable grain tossing that I have missed Abhy’s expression of being surprised, or shocked. But I think this one made it too.

  6. Stuck your head out of the window to get the car in motion? :) Someone should have taken the photographer who was taking the car!

Like the vibrance and colours. Also like how some shots have slower shutter speeds, so you can see some motion. Awesome, Andy.
